Perform Houdini’s Metamorphosis using a regular deck of Bicycle playing cards. In this routine, the King of Spades represents Harry Houdini, and the Queen of Hearts represents Bess. Place the Queen of Hearts inside the card case and the King of Spades in the middle of the deck. Show the cards clearly in their places. Suddenly, they switch—the King of Spades appears inside the card case, and the Queen of Hearts is now on top of the deck. Spread the cards to show there are no duplicates.
